Being in Connecticut and New York this week has made me so ready for cozy fall layers. I naively made the trip without a coat in my suitcase and have been piling on the layers this week as a result. It was actually a fun challenge to style the pieces I brought with me in new ways over the course of the week after I spontaneously decided to stay in New York instead of heading back to Dallas for three days between trips. But I definitely see a little fall shopping in my future! I’ve started checking Nordstrom’s new arrivals on the daily and my shopping cart is overflowing with so many fun pieces for fall. Something I love about shopping on Nordstrom is there’s truly something for every price point and style, whether you’re eyeing a budget-friendly faux fur stole or a splurge-worthy statement sweater.

You’ve already seen me wear this sweater in this post but I’ve gotten so many compliments on it I just had to share it again! I think next on my list are this olive green knit dress and perfect plaid shirt but if I didn’t already own a Barbour jacket, I’d be all over this style with the fitted waist!
