I can’t believe it’s already been a week since our trip to Bermuda! I had the nicest time with Amy and my brother Grayson. Amy is essentially a fifth Horan sibling at this point so the three of us traveled really well together. Amy takes the most insane photos on her iPhone, Grayson creates awesome videos, and I’ve been getting better with my new camera (linked here, lens here) — I think it’s safe to say all three of us couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting than sunny Bermuda!
We stayed at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club and you guys… it is seriously the most spectacular hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not only was the view from our room incredible (pink facade! palm trees! harbor views!) but the service was out of this world from the very second we arrived. Everyone from the bellhop and the concierge to the restaurant servers and spa staff was so friendly and just so genuinely happy to welcome guests to their country. They all had such a positive impact on our experience!
Amy and Grayson flew in from New York (did you know it’s only a 90 minute flight?!) and I met them later that afternoon after flying in from Dallas. You can’t rent a car in Bermuda (not that I’d trust any of us to drive on the other side of the street!) so we did a lot of walking and took taxis when necessary. On our first night, we walked around the town of Hamilton and stopped for dinner at the Pickled Onion (thanks to one of my readers Sarah who left the most helpful list of recommendations on this post!). We couldn’t get enough of all the pretty pastel buildings and cute shops — Amy picked up the cutest crest sweater from the English Sports Shop. It reminded me so much of Murray’s on Nantucket!
Bermuda weather in November isn’t guaranteed beach weather but we lucked out with 70+ degrees and sunshine every day of our visit. There were a few afternoon rainstorms but they all passed quickly and we even spotted a rainbow on our first night there! It was totally warm enough to dip our toes in the water when we went to the beach on our first full day (lots more photos to come this week!) and to be honest, I get kind of antsy sitting on a beach all day so the fact that it wasn’t blazing hot was fine by me!
Grayson was kind enough to snap outfit pictures for me throughout the trip so stay tuned for lots of those in the days to come! I ordered this J.Crew cashmere v-neck the week before our trip and while it’s a lot brighter than it looks online, it was a fun departure from my usual #navyornothing suitcase. The pink color is sold out after J.Crew’s Cyber Monday sale but you can still pick it up in the crewneck version.
Just try to be in a bad mood when you wake up to this view every morning. No wonder everyone in Bermuda was so happy all the time! ?
The white bubble earrings I’m wearing here are also sold out but we’re hoping to restock them late this week or early next. If you didn’t score a pair during the Cyber Monday madness, you can click the green “notify me” button on the left side of the product page and you’ll get an email the moment they’re back in stock. I’m so glad you guys are loving these as much as I do!
The location of the Hamilton Princess was perfect for exploring during the day and there are a ton of restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. We also did mini road trips via taxi to Horseshoe Bay, St. George, and the Crystal Caves which I’ll share in posts later this week! We had an amazing dinner at Marcus and Amy and I had the most luxurious massage in the Exhale spa. Bermuda is so gorgeous it would be a shame not to explore as much as possible, but you could seriously never leave the hotel property and still have a great time.
Amy just doing her thing! If you’re not already following her on Instagram, you’re in for a treat. I’m obsessed with her monogrammed shirt from Tuckernuck.
See the rainbow in the bottom left corner?!
I was excited to have an excuse to carry my new Cult Gaia ark bag which I’ve been eyeing ever since Amy brought hers to Nantucket this summer. It’s sold out on Shopbop right now but still available here if you’re as obsessed as I am! I also ordered these Loeffler Randall Emi sandals after I got so much wear out of my Piper wedges this year. Can’t get enough of that scalloped trim!
I loved this Union Jack mural in downtown Hamilton. It reminds me of the Union Jack campaign dresser my dad and I painted way back in 2010… Crazy to think I’ve been blogging for that long!
I hope you enjoyed the first batch of photos from our trip! As I said, I have more posts in the works for later this week and I’m happy to answer any questions in the comments if you’re planning a Bermuda trip of your own!
