My go-to boots were looking very tired coming into the fall and I knew it was time to replace my most worn-in boots and booties. I ordered and returned a bunch of options but wound up with a pretty solid line-up: the leather riding boots I wore here, the suede ankle boots I wore here, and the wedge booties I wore here. I was already feeling much better about my fall boot collection when I stumbled upon this pair of slouchy suede boots, but they were different enough from the other pairs that I figured I’d give them a try and return them if I didn’t love them. But lo and behold, it was love at first sight and they were the fall boot I never knew I was missing. They’re the perfect shade of nutmeg brown, hit just below the knee (not always a given when you’re 5’1” like me!), and the block heel makes them comfy enough to wear for hours on end. Sold!
They also happen to match my new bag that I can’t get enough of. It was definitely a splurge but it’s the kind of bag I’ll have for years and never have to worry about it going out of style. I love the unique oval shape and the pretty suede closure. It can be worn over the shoulder or as a crossbody so expect to see it in many outfit posts over the months to come!
A couple more affordable accessories of note! I wanted to try these sunglasses as a possible dupe for my pricier Celine sunnies and can highly recommend them. The shape is quite similar (just a tiny bit rounder than the Celine pair) and the tortoiseshell color is practically identical. And this printed scarf is a perfect Hermès lookalike but costs only $48! They come in a ton of pretty patterns and are so easy to throw on over an otherwise simple outfit for a pop of color. It is also very generously sized so you could style it about a hundred ways (did anyone else wear silk scarves as tops in college? I’m tempted to bring it back!).
