CHEERS TO YOU, MOM

I feel extra lucky to be celebrating my first official Mother’s Day with my own mom this year and I hope you all get a little quality time with your moms whether in person or on a family Zoom call. I have so many amazing women in my life who have helped shape the kind of mom I hope to be for Teddy (you can read about two of them here and here!) and I can’t wait to reunite with each and every one of them as soon as it’s safe to do so! Sending extra love to all the moms, soon-to-be moms, hoping-to-be moms, etc. this weekend and always.

I inherited any sense of style from my mom and Grandy and it’s rare that I make any kind of meaningful purchase without getting my mom’s opinion first. (And when we disagree on something, she’s always ultimately right — that one top she doesn’t like will inevitably be the first thing I donate the following season.) Here we’re wearing pieces from my friend Tyler Boe’s collection and I really hope I have a number of excuses to put on this white dress as many times as possible this summer. It’s a comfortable and flattering silhouette that’s easy to throw on over a swimsuit during the day and then dress up with wedges for dinner. My mom is wearing this turquoise shirt and the bell sleeve is a fun update to all the many other button-downs in her closet!
