From time to time someone will ask me where to find home decor items similar to the assortment I used to carry in the online boutique I ran from 2012 to 2017 and I love pointing people in the direction of other small business owners. My friend Meg recently launched an e-commerce site called Cailini Coastal and is actually donating 100% of the proceeds from her first six months in business to Family Promise, a national non-profit that helps low-income families and families experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. Meg and I met what feels like a lifetime ago during my very short-lived stint in fashion PR in New York when she was working in the same company’s Los Angeles office and we’ve kept in touch over the years. I’ve always known she has amazing style but I was absolutely blown away when I first checked out her new site.
