A LITTLE SOMETHING WHITE
An absolute must-visit for Fairfield County brides-to-be! I found my bridesmaids’ dresses here years ago and the owner Ashley remains one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. Whether you’re shopping for a wedding dress, bridesmaids’ dresses, or a dress for the mother of the bride or groom, I can’t recommend this spot more highly.
Flour Water Salt Bread
A bakery in downtown Darien specializing in sourdough and baked goods like croissants and muffins. They open at 8 a.m. and stay open until their fresh baked goods are sold out so go early if you have your heart set on something in particular! We also love their homemade pizza nights in the summertime.
Darizen Spa & Wellness
A tiny but tranquil day spa on the Post Road in Darien offering fantastic lymphatic drainage and prenatal massages as well as acupuncture and facials.
Knot Norm’s
A laidback spot with great service in Norwalk for casual New England seafood fare like lobster rolls, oysters, and fish tacos.
The Bridge at Saugatuck
Located on Westport’s Saugatuck River, this American restaurant offers water views in a beautifully restored historic building with a bustling bar and outdoor seating on the side and second floor patios.
Solé
An Italian restaurant on Elm Street in the center of downtown New Canaan. Sit at the bar overlooking the open kitchen or bring your kids and sit outside when it’s nice out.
The Cottage
An outpost of the same restaurant in Westport, this second location on Greenwich Avenue is great for sharing small plates and a round of cocktails with girlfriends.
Molto
A bustling Italian restaurant in the Darien Commons development across from the Noroton Heights train station. Sit at the long marble bar for happy hour or bring your whole family for an extensive menu of small plates and homemade pizzas and pastas.
Siren
A great spot for Mediterranean tapas in a beautifully decorated space on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich. A favorite for date night or a girls’ night!
Casa Me
An Italian café in Westport’s Sconset Square with a chic bar area, outdoor seating, and delicious homemade pastas.
Seamore’s
A sustainable seafood concept from NYC now in the new Darien Commons development in Noroton Heights. You can’t go wrong with their lobster rolls and oysters but we also loved the firecracker cauliflower and guacamole to start.
Spa Grace
My top pick for a mani/pedi in Darien. Do not skip the chair or foot reflexology massage!
