I’ve been trying to take more outfit pictures now that it’s not freezing every time I walk outside and I finally have space to hang up all my clothes and see what I haven’t featured on the blog yet. It’s nice to have a reason to bring out my real camera and it’s funny how taking more pictures makes me see my surroundings differently! I love scouting new locations to take pictures, whether it’s a turquoise wall with a blue dress or a flowering tree with candy-colored stripes (though of course Positano was the prettiest!). My new employee Gretchen and I drove past this empty building last week and instantly earmarked it for a future photo backdrop. How stunning are those blue windows against the stone facade? It’s always a little more fun to take pictures when you know you like the background as much as what you’re wearing!

There’s something very sophisticated about a floor-length dress and this one is party perfection: my favorite color, check; swiss dots, check; fitted waist, check; cutout back, check! I kept the accessories neutral and let the dress (and that pretty background) do the talking.
