WEEKEND RECAP

Hi, friends! I hope everyone has recovered from their Memorial Day festivities. We were on Nantucket for the long weekend and could not believe how many people were in town for Figawi! My mom and I were there two weeks ago and it was practically still winter on the island. We had a fun-filled Saturday while the weather was nice and then unfortunately I came down with a cold on Sunday and spent most of the day in bed, just in time for a rainy trip back on Monday. ? Thankfully I’ll be there for most of the summer this year so I’m sure there are plenty of sunny days in my future! I haven’t spent the summer out there since I was seventeen so I’m really excited to have so much quality time with family and friends in our favorite place.

We’re starting the process of sprucing up my family’s house before the welcome party for our wedding weekend and made a lot of progress this weekend! My dad painted one of the guest bedrooms (everything is going from blue and yellow to white, white, white!) and my brother, mom, and I gave two wood headboards a fresh coat of white as well. And all the floors are being stained dark in a few weeks so we moved a bunch of furniture to the basement so that process can get underway. I’ll be sharing plenty of before and afters throughout the summer so stay tuned!

My brother Grayson snapped this one shoulder gingham dress on our street in Greenwich but I thought the photos were appropriate for recapping a weekend on Nantucket! I mean, what Nantucketer doesn’t dream of a Land Rover Defender?! It’s the ultimate beach car and for some reason one of our neighbors in Connecticut always has this beauty parked across the street. Total motivation while I work, don’t you think? ?
