TWO NEW FINDS FOR FALL

The weather is still in the mid 70s here in Connecticut but that hasn’t stopped me from doing a little fall shopping (especially with our honeymoon on the horizon — we leave on Thursday!). And of course I’m always itching to wear my most recent purchases whether they’re weather appropriate or not, so I tried to summer-ize this new sweater and these smoking slippers with my go-to denim shorts and my Nantucket lightship basket. In a few weeks I’ll just trade out the shorts for jeans and the bag for something less summery, but in the mean time I’m soaking up all the sunshine before we enter another chilly New England winter.

This striped rollneck sweater is every bit as comfy as it looks. I ordered a size small for a slightly oversized look and honestly I’ve been reaching for it multiple times a week. And don’t get me started on these flats! The Hubbell Hille team reached out about their new smoking slippers and I have to say I love them even more than I thought I would, in large part because of the subtle 1″ heel that elongates my legs more than any of the ballet flats I own. I’ve been wearing them with jeans, dresses, skirts, you name it. A preppy classic that’s as flattering as it is versatile? I’m giving these two thumbs up.
