I technically ordered this as a Christmas present the year that Teddy was around 15 months old but it’s been in such daily use recently that I wanted to highlight it again here! I really think this will go down as one of my best toddler purchases (you can see my ultimate baby essentials list here!) as it’s a way for our now-two-year-old to engage with us in the kitchen. He loves “helping” to mix ingredients or wash dishes but he also just climbs up all the time to chat with us at eye level while we’re making breakfast or cleaning up after dinner. We often leave a pad of paper and a couple crayons at one end of our kitchen island so it’s his go-to spot when we’re all in the kitchen together. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good gift idea for a little one that will last several years (or several kiddos)!

A GREAT KITCHEN HELPER STOOL FOR TODDLERS
We went with this kitchen helper stool from Etsy and have been so happy with it for over a year now! It’s a solid and sturdy piece that blends in with the white cabinetry of our kitchen so I don’t mind having it out all the time at the far end of our kitchen island. It was extremely easy to assemble, is easy to wipe down, and can be adjusted to three different heights so it will grow with your little one. It’s the perfect height for bringing your toddler up to counter height and ours arrived in about three weeks which I thought was pretty reasonable for a small business based abroad. Basically I can’t say enough good things about it if you’re looking for something similar!
P.S. I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since our kitchen renovation.
