TEDDY AND PETER’S FINISHED NEEDLEPOINT STOCKINGS

I promised I would share an update once I finished Teddy and Peter’s needlepoint stockings and here they are! I was so determined throughout my pregnancy with Tucker to get these both finished in time for Christmas and it makes me so happy to see them hanging on our mantel. I ordered the Bauble Stockings canvases from KC Needlepoint (and paid a little extra for them to paint the boys’ names on them) and then had them finished locally at the Stitch Stash (formerly House of Needlepoint) in Darien. I just picked out threads to stitch Tucker’s stocking (hopefully in time for next Christmas!) and am planning to make the white background navy to stick to a more cohesive color palette. Honestly Teddy and Peter aren’t really old enough to be super excited about these just yet, but over time I hope they become an integral part of their childhood memories like my own Christmas stocking is to me!

P.S. Our boxwood garland is from Ballard Designs and the cachepot stocking holders are many years old from Restoration Hardware, but I do see some available on eBay!
