You probably know by now that I’m a huge fan of Hill House nap dresses — I’m not sure I’ve ever worn a single item of clothing as much as I’ve worn my Ellie nap dress in navy poplin over the past few years. The smocked bodice on the nap dresses makes it possible to wear them in the same size whether you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or neither, so it’s no surprise they’ve been a wardrobe workhorse for me since I became a mom. I am forever adding new colors and prints to my closet and absolutely love this green vine stripe from their spring drop!
They’ve also expanded their offering of fashion dresses (without the signature smocking that denotes a nap dress!) and I was excited to try their new Matilda style (which would actually still be bump-friendly given the empire waist). The combination of the square neck, puff sleeve, and billowy skirt is so feminine and flattering! I think the blue clip dot check gingham would be beautiful for engagement pictures — and it would make a perfect baby shower dress for a boy mom-to-be!
