Our backyard has been a huge focus of ours since moving into our house four summers ago and I could not be more grateful for how far it’s come! (You can see where we started and how it looked last summer in this post!) This year our focus has been adding boxwoods, climbing roses, and hydrangeas in keeping with the landscaping plan I shared in this post and I was so excited to get to work with Instant Hedge to add their beautiful mini boxwood hedges to create two garden areas between our pool patio and our lawn!
The concept behind Instant Hedge is brilliant — they sell pre-finished hedge units in plastic pots ready to be planted for an instant border. It’s truly the closest you can get to instant gratification in gardening! They sell a variety of different plant types and sizes on their site but we went with the Green Mountain boxwood MiniHedges, each of which contains five ~18″ tall plants that measure a combined 32″ long. (It looks like our exact size is not currently available, but this is the same plant in a slightly larger size!) I love the lush green border they create between the patio and our yard and I can’t wait to watch the surrounding flowers and plants grow in over time. If you’ve been wanting to plant a boxwood hedge, you can order your own Instant Hedge on Conifer Kingdom here!
