If you’re a parent, there’s a good chance you’ve dealt with this conundrum: it’s a new season, your baby or child needs new seasonally appropriate footwear, and… you have zero idea what their shoe size is.

I measure each boy’s foot at the start of the season and place an online order for our go-to pairs (for us, that’s brown Floafers and white Natives for summer, Janie & Jack Chelsea boots for fall, these Sperry snow boots for winter). It should last through around age 6 for each child so we’ll be using ours for many years to come!

Teddy and Tucker were born at similar times of year so we often have hand-me-down boots in the appropriate size for Tucker, but having a baby and child shoe sizer at home is 100 times easier than dragging all three of them to be measured and pick out new footwear in person.
