I was so happy Julia snapped these holiday family photos for us this year! I have a million photos of the kids on my phone but not nearly as many of all five of us together. It’s often a little chaotic to try to get everyone happy and smiling in the same split second but I’m always happy we made the effort!
I worked with Vineyard Vines to pull together outfits for holiday family photos that I posted on Instagram but wanted to share them here as well! I browsed their holiday collections for women, men, and kids and love the navy blue, green, and blackwatch plaid color palette we landed on. My favorite holiday family photos are almost always ones where everyone’s outfits look coordinated but not too matchy-matchy, which isn’t always easy when you have three kids of the same sex!
I picked out this Vineyard Vines bow back sweater that I absolutely adore — it feels festive without being over-the-top and the low back photographs beautifully. I paired it with this navy silk slip midi skirt that is really flattering and has great movement (always a bonus when running after kids could be involved!). Will and our two-year-old Peter wore men’s and boys’ versions of the same blackwatch shirt. Incidentally I had also ordered a bunch of this blackwatch ribbon from Amazon to breathe new life into our outdoor Christmas decorations and I loved that their outfits tied into the decor a little too! Our four-year-old Teddy wore this navy quarter-zip (which will also be a good school day basic for him too) and I rolled up the sleeves on this green quarter-zip to fit Tucker, who is 15 months but we made it work with a 2T that Peter can wear now and he’ll grow into soon enough!
