Let’s talk playroom baskets! Was anyone else feeling relatively well-organized with their kids’ toys until the holidays rolled around and introduced a bunch of new favorite toys that now need a dedicated space? I shared photos of our playroom in this post from a couple years ago, but I frequently find myself moving things around and reevaluating our playroom storage and toy organization systems depending on what age and stage our boys are in.
We have building blocks, Magnatiles, and other small toys in these acrylic bins in our console (and these large water hyacinth cube baskets in our bookshelf), but sometimes you just need a big storage basket or two to create a home for larger items like dress-up costumes and stuffed animals. Having a few storage baskets in the playroom (or as nursery decor!) is a great way to give every toy a dedicated space and make it easier for our kids to help us tidy up the playroom.
We’ve had these Ballard Designs storage baskets in our playroom for a few years and I absolutely love the top lid that conceals all the kids’ toys stuffed inside, but two of the handles unraveled after my brothers carted Teddy around inside one of the baskets (100% user error haha) and I wanted to consider a few more basket choices before just ordering the same set a second time. I thought I’d share some of the playroom baskets I’m considering in case anyone is looking for their own playroom storage solution!
