WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE THIS WEEK

Hello and happy Friday! We had a very full week with myriad kids’ activities, a moms’ night for the boys’ preschool, and getting to be mystery reader for Tucker’s classroom. Tomorrow Teddy has a soccer game and then we’re headed out to pick apples/pumpkins and enjoy the fall weather!

I think the busy-ness is good for us after saying goodbye to Rory last week but that’s not to say the grief doesn’t sneak up on me in moments where I least expect it. There is a spot on our living room sofa where he always curled up that still smells exactly like him and I catch myself walking by and trying to inhale a little of his scent. We have been reading this book every night at bedtime (thank you to everyone who recommended it!) and it is a really sweet read for kids and adults alike if you’re grieving the loss of a beloved pet.

Some very fun finds in today’s round-up… I love this crisp button-down with the chic crest embroidery, adore this appliqué monogram cosmetic case that would make a fantastic holiday gift, and I’m awaiting these fabulous and very affordable suede mules in the mail! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. xx
