Thank you all for your kind words after the news of Rory’s passing last week. I have been an absolute wreck for most of the week but trying to keep it together for the boys’ sake. My friend Jen graciously suggested this book which has been a sweet source of comfort for all of us the past couple bedtimes. 

In an effort to keep putting one foot in front of the other, we are heading out apple/pumpkin picking this weekend with our friends and their two-year-old daughter and I’m excited to explore a new-to-us farm/orchard that looks like it has lots to keep the boys busy and active. I’m planning on wearing my new olive green jacket for the occasion — it’s more lightweight than I was expecting but it’s such a great piece to throw on when you need just a little extra something. I am still contemplating ordering this perfect navy jacket that I’ve found myself revisiting online about three dozen times — I’m not sure it fills a totally unique void in my closet, but I’m convinced it would be a classic addition to my outerwear wardrobe for many years to come. I do love when something as classic as a Barbour jacket suddenly becomes “on trend” because there are suddenly so many more great options to choose from!
