Whew what a week! We had somewhere around 60 people here last weekend for Peter’s birthday party and a backyard Easter egg hunt (photos here!) and I’ve been feeling all the feels about our second baby boy turning 5 on his actual birthday yesterday. How has it already been 5 years since he made his early debut and made our hearts double in size?!

Man, these motherhood milestones really get to me sometimes (if you know, you know). I’ve been enjoying having a space to write more in depth musings on motherhood and this chapter of life over on Substack — so far we’ve covered how I reset when I’m overstimulated, my experience with gender disappointment, people-pleasing, pros & cons of having our children close in age, the only reframe for mom guilt that’s actually helped me, and more.
