When I’m shopping for our home, I have a handful of go-to retailers I tend to check first and I thought it might be helpful to round up my favorite furniture and decor from each, starting with what to buy from Ballard Designs.
We’ve ordered many Ballard Designs furniture and decor pieces for our home over the years. We actually don’t have a Ballard Designs store near us so I’ve only ever ordered online, but it might be worth checking out one of their retail locations if you’re starting the process of furnishing a new home and want to see your favorite furniture or decor options in person. Below you’ll see my favorite furniture and decor finds from Ballard Designs in our home as well as others that have caught my eye since we moved into our new house 6+ years ago!

They frequently run promo codes for sitewide sales of 20-30% off and/or free shipping, so definitely wait for a promo code to get great deals before making a purchase. And they are known for their product collaborations with well-known designers like Bunny Williams, Miles Redd, and Suzanne Kasler so those collections can be a great starting point as you shop for new items!
Ballard Designs Atoll rectangular mirror
I absolutely love this sculptural Atoll mirror above the console table in our mudroom, so much so that we added the full length version to our primary bedroom at the end of last year.
Ballard Designs Hayes ottoman
Ballard Designs is an incredible resource for customizable fabric options, and they even let you send in your own custom fabrics (look for “COM” meaning “customer’s own material”) for some of their upholstered furniture. I had this Schumacher fabric (it’s called “Betwixt”) shipped directly to Ballard Designs to upholster their Hayes ottoman for our living room and it was a very streamlined process I would repeat in a heartbeat!

I love this trio of nesting baskets with scalloped liners. We keep ours in our playroom to corral costumes and stuffed animals, but I’ve also seen them used in designing a nursery or children’s bedroom.
Ballard Designs Suzanne Kasler triple gourd lamp
We have these green triple gourd lamps in our bedroom and I love the idea of swapping out the plain white lamp shades for this pleated style.
Ballard Designs Suzanne Kasler Chapelle Urn Table Lamp
I love, love, love the classic shape and size of these urn table lamps we have in our bedroom. I went back and forth between the block print lamp shades and these pretty wicker lamp shades for a more coastal feel. This table lamp is such a timeless piece that would work well anywhere from a bedside table in a child’s bedroom to the desktop in a home office.
