Happy Friday, friends! I’m extra excited for this weekend because Ali, Grandy, my cousin Sarah, and I are leaving the island on Saturday to attend my bridal shower in Newport, Rhode Island. Our family friend Marie is graciously hosting us at her home there and I am so excited to see lots of family and friends in such a beautiful place!
It was a beautiful week on Nantucket and one that saw multiple trips to the beach and the Juice Bar. Ali and I also had dinner at Proprietors (their fried broccoli is to die for!) with Allison and Jillian who were visiting from LA. We also made a ton of progress on the house: wallpapered two of the bathrooms last weekend, painted a mirror for one of the bathrooms, sanded and painted part of the fence in the front yard, had the TV mounted above the fireplace, and Ali’s husband Patrick even fixed the door to the outdoor shower which used to close so fast it would hit you in the back of the knees if you didn’t move fast enough. ? We’re getting closer and closer to being able to shoot more rooms to share on the blog and I cannot freaking wait to share!!!
Ending the week with a fun little outfit… You might recognize this skirt from my outfit for Grandy’s surprise party last weekend and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my best purchases for the season, especially since it’s under $100. Here I paired it with an off-the-shoulder ruffled bodysuit (a little outside my comfort zone but I’m into it!) and a sunhat that every girl needs in her summer wardrobe because it’s packable! I had this hat crammed into the back of my car when I brought it across on the ferry and it just magically pops back into shape. Seriously, I wish all my hats were made like this one!
J.Crew off-the-shoulder ruffle bodysuit (sold out, similar) // Tuckernuck striped maxi skirt (under $100)
Tuckernuck bow hat c/o (more colors available) // Ray-Ban clubmasters
Milly wicker satchel // Soludos espadrilles (also love these)
