It isn’t ready for a full room reveal yet (I need to source some sort of console table and decide on a fabric for reupholstering the seat cushions!) but I wanted to share the blue grasscloth wallpaper my mom and I hung in our dining room over the holidays!
I had stared at this blue wallpaper sample from Rifle Paper Co. x York Wallcoverings for literally over a year after narrowing down a ton of different options to find just the right shade of blue and finally committed to this being our best option. This French blue color has great depth and looks like a different shade of blue depending on your vantage point and the time of day.
This room was such a blank slate when we moved in and adding the white wainscoting and blue wallpaper made a world of difference. Our now blue dining room room is centrally located between our kitchen and the living room so it’s a space we walk through multiple times a day and it makes me happy to feel like it finally has a sense of style.
The china cabinet was a Facebook Marketplace find that we had painted and the focal point of the room is this Nantucket painting that my mom found folded up in the eaves of my grandmother’s home on the island. I love the way the blue wallpaper makes it pop and I can’t wait to enjoy family dinners in this space. You can see a video of us hanging the wallpaper here!
