Teddy turns four today! Somehow the day he was born feels like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday. So much in our lives has changed — the itty bitty baby from that day is now a big brother two times over! — but my fierce love for this little boy who made me a mom remains unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced. Four-year-old Teddy is the heartbeat of our home, the one whose drawings cover every surface of our kitchen and playroom, whose love for music can turn around the dreariest day, whose compassion and empathy far exceed his four years on this planet. I don’t know what we did to deserve him but every year even more than the last I feel so lucky he is ours. Happy happy birthday buddy; we love you to the moon and back!
